Copyright (DMCA) Policy
v1.0.0
REXTEN respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). REXTEN responds to valid notices by removing or disabling access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
How to submit a DMCA notice
To be effective, your notice must include the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it (URL on REXTEN).
- Your contact information: name, address, phone number, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Counter-notice
If you believe content of yours was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice with the same elements above plus a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address (or any judicial district where REXTEN may be found, if outside the US) and consent to service of process from the original complainant.
Repeat infringers
REXTEN terminates the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Designated agent
Notices must be sent to our DMCA Designated Agent. We are in the process of registering our agent with the US Copyright Office. Until registration is complete, send notices through the form below or by email.

Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that material was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by us or any user as a result of the misrepresentation.
